Among the numerous task which Edithink’s graphic department receives during the year, the so-called "reports" are some of the most challenging ones.
In the autumn of 2017, our graphic department has curated, for example, the layout of ecoR’it environmental report.
EcoR’it is a Collective multi-purpose non-profit System which guarantees the correct waste management of electrical and electronic equipment.
Environmental reports are book of a significant number of pages which use a good amount of graphs and icons; they're used to illustrate in an easy and intuitive way the behaviour of cooperatives and institutions during the years.
Our graphic department's task, in addition to curating the entire book’s general layout, is to renovate these elements’ graphic aspect; reports are an annual pubblication.
As a matter of fact, unlike a graphic project such as a logo, which remains the same for many years (sometimes even decades), a report gets modified, modernised graphics every year.
Another important aspect of our job is the attention to be paid to the integration of new data: reports are institutional pubblications, some times even with a legal value, which means they require precision, rightfulness and observance of the delivery date.
To take charge of a report means a commitment which requires attention, meticolousness and a good amunt of creativity.
One of the major difficulties for a creative specialist is finding and using the correct graphic style to transform institutional communications such as financial data, balance sheets and business analysis into interesting publications which can raise an interest in the general audience.
