“What does it mean to be extraordinary?”; this is the question which initiated the realisation of the movie “Saipem, 60 years of new frontiers”.
The video has been created for Saipem’s 60th anniversary and it narrates, with the use of metaphors, the company’s characteristic traits (ability of overcome limits, teamwork, organisation, excellence and planning).
The project has started with a subject by Marcello Bianca and Francesco Montella’s creative duo, with the directing contribution of Emiliano Suardi and the support of Saipem’s Brand Strategy and Corporate Identity Office.
The preproduction phase has been very challenging: meetings, casting sessions and location surveys have been fundamental to define the film’s details and to coordinate each professional involved, including a dozen people between actors and extras.
Production has been realised with live sound recording and entirely in English at Officine del Volo, a very suggestive location in Milan.
During the three days filming, together with our team, there has been a substantial number of professionals on set, including director of photography Gigi Martinucci and steadycam operator Gianluca Bombardone.
Editing has been curated by Stefania Trifone, while all digital effects has been realised by Dario Del Vecchio, Edithink’s motion designer, solely using our office’s equipment.
We thank Gigasound studio for the sound postproduction and voice over recording.
The institutional film has received an excellent feedback from the client, has been broadcasted on Class CNBC channel and took part in two prestigious contests for corporate videos.
At the very end of 2017 we received the excellent news of a victory in the XXII edition of Premio Mediastars in the Technical Audiovisual Section with the following recognitions:

Thanks to this important and challenging test, Edithink’s team gained new experience points and a greater knowledge that we’re ready to invest in future projects.
